About Us
At Advanced Veterinary Imaging and Diagnostics (AVID), we are committed to providing affordable, accessible, and high-quality diagnostic imaging and sampling services to support the veterinarians and pets of central and north-central West Virginia.
Operating within rented space of White Hall Animal Clinic, AVID offers advanced modalities including CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, ultrasonography, different sampling techniques and options, echocardiograms, and panoramic dental and sinus radiographs.
Anesthesia and imaging services will be conducted by skilled veterinarians and highly trained veterinary technicians with above-standard-of-care protocols for anesthesia and monitoring. All pricing includes official diagnostic reports from board certified specialists and are sent directly to the referring veterinarian once received.
Our focus is exclusively on imaging and diagnostics, ensuring a partnership built on trust, shared expertise, and mutual commitment to patient well-being. We aim to empower other local veterinarians with the diagnostic tools they need to deliver the best possible care without duplicating or competing with their services.
At AVID, we believe that by working together, we can help each other and, most importantly, the pets and families who depend on us.
Our Mission
AVID was founded by Dr. Amanda M. Hartman in response to the growing need for advanced diagnostic options in our region. Our goal is to enhance patient care by delivering top-tier imaging and diagnostics while maintaining continuity of care through seamless collaboration with referring veterinarians (RDVMs). All diagnostic reports are sent directly to the primary veterinarian, ensuring the patient’s care remains with their trusted provider.
AVID is designed with referring veterinarians in mind:
Collaboration: Recommendations for preoperative bloodwork, including clotting panels, as well as pre-arrival anxiety medication protocols, will be provided to the RDVM to allow comprehensive preparation prior to imaging at AVID.
Seamless Continuity: All records, reports, and findings are shared with the referring veterinarian to ensure smooth integration into the patient’s ongoing care with their primary veterinarian.
Patient Comfort and Safety: AVID patients are kept separate from general clinic patients to minimize stress and maintain confidentiality. Above-standard anesthesia and monitoring protocols are used whenever sedation is required.
